LO5.4: Evaluation of feedback.
After looking at all my feedback from Anne and the rest of the feedback from my survey, that I conducted, I now understand that my product and presentation was clear about what I was presenting and that they would possibly purchase my product if I was to release it. However, after presenting to Anne Doncaster, I had to think about changing the software I would use in order to create a VR set designer. She told me I should think about using Unity as an alternative to Blender, this is mainly because it works with both 3D and 2D modelling where as Blender is mainly only used for 3D modelling. Another benefit to using Unity over Blender is that the project folder is well arranged and files are easy to find. Another point I was told to add/work on was the actual headset I will choose to test/release my product, I first of all said I was going to use the HTC Vibe however after hearing feedback from Anne she told me I should look into the Oculus Quest 2, this is because there is a huge difference between the Vibe and Quest 2. One of these differences being that the Quest 2 doesn't have to rely on a PC to work whereas the Vibe has to rely on a PC to be able to run virtual reality. To build on the criticism give to me by Anne and my piers, I will need to add new ways to be able to build the product and test the product via the Oculus Quest 2, I will also have to build the set design in Unity and then test in virtual reality. After working on this I will then allow students and possibly directors to try the product in order to get more feedback on my product and see if it can be used in the industry. I will test in on students by having them the chance to either use their own designs or by having them use a pre made design, it will test if the product works and how immersive it is.
