LO2: Report

The development of technology have created many pathways for virtual reality for it to become more popular and therefore making it more easier to plan, produce and market to consumers. The way virtual reality is made is by creating a 360 degree scene were the person can look all around them and also move around. Virtual reality brands need to give out clear and interactive message to their audiences. Globalisation has also changed the way products are marketed around the world, for example film companies can now send out a worldwide trailer at the same the send it out in America. Another good example of how virtual reality has adapted and evolved over the years is that people can now take virtual reality tours and go to showrooms, this then again lets people visit places from their home or even take the virtual tours at the place itself where there could be even an audio description giving the effect of a real tour. It also has changed the way that we view films, for example there are cinemas around the world that allow people to be immersed in the film, this is what I am trying the achieve by having actors in films immersed and being able to something that is CGI in front of them.

A lot of conglomerate companies have been able to create a lot of virtual reality headsets and accessories, these companies have shown that they are ready to evolve into the next step of technology.  Google and Microsoft have been getting into the VR game, such as Google creating  Google VR earth where people can use the mechanics of Google earth while using a Vr headset and controllers, this now gives people a more evolved look into how they can use such basic tools.

Starting off with the creation of my product I would need a project team manager, this will be someone who holds the entire team together. They would help with project timelines and also how we will build the product. The team manager also has a vital role in being in cohorts with the client, asking them their needs, who the product is being made for and when they want the product to be finished. This can also help with timescale and how the product is going to look. Moving on from team manager I will also need a software engineer, this will be someone who knows how to create the software needed to run and test this product. They are pivotal in the creation of what the client needs, this being what CGI is gonna be made and how it will function.

Knowing if the product will be successful and if this will generate a profit is something that is always important, this means I will need to have a marketing manager. This will be someone who helps work alongside the client and also helps with working with other companies in advertising the product
